Welcome to Highway Engineering Laboratory (Course Code: 110401467)!
This course is designed to provide hands-on experience with testing materials used in highway pavement construction. You will conduct laboratory tests on asphalt binders, aggregates, subgrade soils, and bituminous mixtures, following ASTM and AASHTO standards. By the end of the course, you will develop the skills necessary to evaluate materials for pavement design and construction.
By the end of this course, students will be able to: ✔ Understand and perform various laboratory tests on highway materials. ✔ Analyze and interpret data to evaluate material properties. ✔ Apply ASTM and AASHTO standards for material testing. ✔ Conduct Marshall Mix Design for asphalt mixtures. ✔ Assess material suitability for pavement application
I am Dr. Hamza Mohammad Alkuime, an Assistant Professor specializing in pavement engineering and transportation systems.
